Shifter - started by Emo1313, finished by TerroX, this mod has been in active development (and still is) since Tribes 2 was released over 2 years ago.
18 vehicles, 18 armor classes, over 50 weapon types, 11 Grenade types, 9 Mine types, 19 packs, 7 Vehicle modules, 25 Deployables,
Also part of Shifter is the HERC Destroyer, a walking War Machine which fields 4 crew

We hold a weekly Shifter match on HomeLAN KroNoS HERCs server open to anyone who wants to join (like a Pick-up game).
Start time is Wednesday might - 7PM PST / 8PM MST / 9PM CST / 10PM EST / 12pm Thursday AEST (midday)
Server is HomeLAN KroNoS HERCs (under Shifter mod)
All are welcome to come and try out our mod while getting blasted by all the regulars :-)

nice, the mods a few years old, and footage of it still showed up in the MOTY introduction video this year.

2002 was a good year for us - we managed to get shifter past all the bugs and playability issues.
and I bet you haven't seen the newest update, it has about 50 fixes & changes and cool junk like player collisions, which is really cool in T2 hehe.
still working though, got a few things to polish up and make cooler (just visuals mainly to get it all "l337" looking)
and add one more vehicle.. oh yes, just one more.
Just wanted to say fine job on the mod, one mod indeed worthy of a mention in the year 2002 top mods feature posted here: Moddb.com

rofl fumi..:D i think we may turn the comments into a forum...i said something along the lines of "Terrox really IS god" on some forum somewhere and he had a reply that was rather funny that involved you..i know ya love terrox and shifter dude..guess ya just missed out on that post. I would quote it but i spent the last 30 min searching through the shifter forum, the borganism board, and our beloved HC board that no one posts on and couldnt find it..oh AND LONG LIVE SHIFTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's what he says:
Shifter is by far the best mod to Tribes2... granted, it has been a long and sometimes painful process; however, gone are all the annoying bugs of virtually every other mod.
Gameplay is what you make it... fast and furious, or drawn out epic battles, complete with a dizzying array of awesome vehicles.
Shifter is a thinking man's game. Mastery of Shifter does not come with a low ping, but by getting to know the ins and outs of it's various armors.
Shifter is a blast to play... and unlike other mods, you can still be VERY effective with your base loadouts.
ps... lol, and last, despite what Dark may say in jest, that FumigaTor guy thinks Terrox Roxx too.
