Trench Rats was released about 2 years ago but after 4 years of development i didnt have enough time to carry on.
But next year i plan to relaunch trench rats as either a group of mods or a stand alone game using an old engine.

Trenchrats is a ww1 total conversion for Hl2. The mod drives to be both realistic and fun and consits of real battles and campaigns of the time meaning trenchrats dosnt just set its self on the western front but all fronts and will eventually include all participating nation however small its contripution.

If you didnt no already Trench Rats was mentioned in the first issue of a brand new gaming magazine here in the uk. The magazine is devoted to modding games and is by future publishing, i have to say this magazine is well worth the money if ur a modder so check it out if u can.

Ah, WW1 in HL2. I am a little put off by the idea because of the constraints of level size sometimes, which Battlefield does NOT share. I suppose though that a small section of trench ridden battlefield would be easy enough to fit in. I fondly remember those days of playing Battlefield 1918, and can only imagine how cool WW1 will be on the Half Life 2 engine. Best of luck devs!
It would be good for all the WW1 themed mods, such as this, Over the top, The somme Valley et al would just join forces and create one mega mod.
God knows only one of these mods will be successfull.
This way we could get out something playable, sooner.

I can see that Trench Rats no longer seems active. But, fear not, as there is a new, and very active World War 1 modification called The Somme Valley.

Our goal is to make this game a realistic experiance for players. Historical Accuracy and realism is our main goal. And to give players and amazing experiance in all WWI theatres. Such Turkish Battles and the horrifying advances over No Man's Land in The Somme and other horriying events in the first world war which is close to be forgotten.

indeed, but they bf version is most likely moving to a new engine because we cant map what we want like trenches etc and ea dont support . were thinking call of duty or vietcong atm
