The International Defense Force, the last line of defense is the biggest, strongest and most modern army in the world.
It was founded by the Security Council for only one purpose:
save as many as possible at the end of the world.
Earth is holding two big treasures: A huge genetic diversity and the soil in which this life can grow. This made us a target for the “Elandy“, an alien race highly skilled in genetics and cultivation. And since they found us, they have also been getting skilled in warfare.
The near future: Earth is under attack and the worst case scenario has became reality: The enemy is outnumbering and outclassing mankind in every way. They are intelligent, organized and heavyly armored, and their plan for Earth does not include humans. Over the past few years, the IDF story has became a complex universe that mixes a realistic
near future with ancient legends. This becomes an important message:
“He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby
become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss,
the abyss gazes also into you.“

Since, currently, most of us do not have the time to work much at the IDF Mod,
we are running it at a low flame these days. Which means that in all screens textures
are still W.I.P.
Nevertheless, there is something that can be shown since our last news. We would like to
present new pictures of our IDF interior with some fresh materials for our IDF Corridors and
new models for the offices, before our mapper will add havoc and destruction into the map.
Underground IDF-Track for testing vehicles: In the Map, you will be able to testdrive the first
of our implemented vehicles, the Wheeltank called Cat. This parcour will have some obstacles
to drive around and some enemys to drive over. Also we updated the hangar with better light
and more props.
Perhaps, you would also like to listen to examples of our music. Here are two tracks:

Two new weapons are ingame, a combat knife and a heavy handgun. Naturally, our ammunition
display is already working with them (At least with the handgun, of course...) Besides that, our
IDF Trooper model, although his skin still needs to be finished, is rigged and ready for
animating. We hope to get him into the game soon.

Ooh...I can't wait for this one. Love the futurism involved with this mod...just brings a tear to my eye to see what the Source engine can be used for... Superb...absolutely.
