Japan 2025 A.D. the Kanto earthquake that hit at the same time the great planetary geo plates event occurred devastated most of Tokyo and destroyed most of the surrounding prefectural as well. It was at that time Genom Corp and H.G. Corp stepped in with their resources and manpower to help rebuild Japan to semi livable state again. Thus MegaTokyo was created (Known to some as Genom City) to house and expand the Technological industries to rebuild the globe after such a devastating event. Since then, there have been great leaps and bounds in the technological Mecca of MegaTokyo. Sony, NEC, Renashi, Genom, H.G. Corp, Hitachi and other such giants developed and harnessed the cybernetic technology that was developed by several key minds of the scientific community of the late 20th Century to bring The Voomer age into existence.

With this birthing process, there were many obstacles to go through as any type of developing product. Such was The Voomer outbreak of 2035. The H.G. Corp and Renashi Inc were taken over and infected with a Voomer Virus that rewrote and disengaged all safety protocols on existing voomers and even those being manufactured on the assembly lines at their prospective plants. It was thanks to several teams and divisionary forces of the localized police forces that brought the outbreak under control and regained the plants while also capturing the cyber-terrorists that caused the incident.Since then, there are still minor outbreaks of crime and terrorist acts committed by voomers that have been stolen, armed and reprogrammed to commit these acts by cyber crime syndicates.

As with these acts, the ADPD was formed to handle these unusual crimes and acts of violence. You are a fresh breath of air to the force and will be a vital part of your squad. Welcome to Megatokyo 2041 and the ADP Force.

Game play:
Single player will be with NPC coop when needed, but the game play will deal where "player" gets involved with police based missions and will be briefed usually in the Briefing room with what NPCs will be included for the overall success of the mission. Objective; depends on the mission you will be selecting.


Multiplayer modes: This is where
the player will be able to choose a stock player character or editable one. (This is under discussion atm) players will have access to the game weapons and powerups and armor restocks. Deathmatch, team deathmatch, and an offshoot of CTF. Always cater to a game that will allow a player replay value every time to provide yrs. of entertainment.

The Uniforms Members of the AD Police are not required to wear a specific uniform for normal occasions such as in the squad rooms. However they are expected to wear proper uniforms at formal ceremonies. They are also required to wear protective clothing and helmets had carry ordinance designed for voomer enforcement when out on duty. The protective clothing is a type of composite armor made from a lightweight polymer alloy - rendering it "bullet proof" under normal conditions. The armor is also capable of protecting the user from a nano-stampede for a short period of time. This is done by activating a thermo-electric system inside the armor; however the activation of this system can also harm the user if it is running for extended periods of time.

The helmet is made of the same composite armor. It is equipped with an infinite focus monitor and live video feed, activated by lowering the visor. Audio communication is achieved through a built-in microphone and headset. The helmet also featured a light-amplifier that produces simulated night-vision with optional heat sensors.

The Ordinance

The A.D. Police use a variety of ordinance to maintain peace in Japan not just Megatokyo. Take the 9mm "JGSDF" as an example, standard issue handguns/Mini-Uzi that can be equipped with laser targeting systems and radius lighting. The "Sniper Squad" is trained in the use of "JGSDF" sniper rifles. Specialized ammunition is employed depending on the situation FMJ: Full Metal Jacket. Armor piercing bullets with no real destructive power EX: Explosive Bullet. This has excellent destructive power, but no piercing effect.

EEX: Electric Explosion. There is also an electromagnetic pulse bullet.

CD: Core Destruction. (Only available for sniper rifles) Used exclusively for destroying voomer cores. Grenade launchers, shotguns, and electromagnetic rail cannons (capable of firing bullets at supersonic speed) are part of the A.D. Police Demolitions and Explosives, several types of hand grenades are used by the A.D. Police for immobilization or to disable visual sensors

("Flash Bang"). The A.D. Police employ super-directional explosives for breaching walls. Reminiscent of a fishing pole with small weights attached, this device will blast a customized hole depending on the way it is attached when detonated. They also use explosive barricades to stop voomers, and "stun guns" to slow down nano-stampedes.

Game Definitions:

"Sequence B" Outbreak:
Indicates a voomer incident where a program-stampede (an out-of-control program deviating from a programmer's original intent) has developed. This type of outbreak must be dealt with before it evolves into a nano-stampede. A.D. Police is dispatched to the site of such disturbances in high-speed army personnel transports to remove said Voomer gone rouge.

"Sequence N" Outbreak:
Indicates a voomer incident where a nano-stampede (fusion with mecha) has developed. In these situations, the A.D. Police augment their normal gear with thermal protectors and utilize special duty heavy armored squad and personnel deployment vehicles. "Sequence IR" Outbreak:
Indicates a voomer incident involving an illegal modification (Illegal Remodeling). Various courses of action can be taken depending on the situation, so an investigative squad is sent in first to determine evaluate and then execute which equipment to use.

"Sequence Disposal" Complete:
Effective once a voomer core has been destroyed. At this point, the A.D. Police is obligated to contact the resposibile corporation and file accidental damage / loss reports. The AD Police use a variety of heavy artillery and vehicles to control voomer crimes. Some noticeable ones are the patrolling AD Police cars, the personnel assault heli-VTOLS called Fire-bee's and when necessary the heavily armored K-13 HardSuits.

Squad Car
these police cars have all the usual features common to a normal police car. However, the do have a sleek design and are easily recognized as AD Police cars. These cars seat two officers and are generally used to patrol and monitor areas of Tokyo and to report back to the command center. The AD Police Squad Cars are apparently made by Nissan's special vehicles range, Nismo.

(Fire-bee) Attack Single VTOL
These are tiny one man Vtol that are almost like airborne suits that allow the pilot to patrol the skies of Tokyo with great ease. The Fire-bees are extremely manoeuvrable and are equipped with a single search light and cannon. Because the Fire-bees are so light, they are extremely fragile and can easily be taken out by rogue voomers.

(Yellow Jacket) Aerial Assault Vehicle
these slightly larger but still single pilot vehicles that allow the pilot to patrol the skies of Megatokyo with the firepower to back it up if the need arises. The Yellow Jackets are equipped with a triple Barreled mini gun. Because the Yellow Jackets are older and have more armor to them, they rogue voomers and turn them to Swiss cheese if flown by the right pilot. Are you that type of pilot?

Voomers are synthetic/A.I. Life forms 1st produced by The Genom Corporation and expanded to other corporations as well. They are developed for specific duties, such as acting as maids, waiters, bodyguards, store mannequins, and military soldiers and weapons. There have been some very advanced models however that has gained sentience and developed minds and personalities of their own. Most however are still simply machines. Voomers designed for covert infiltration and combat designs are capable of appearing human, whether male or female, they can also "burst" out of their synthetic skin in severe combat situations, revealing their true selves and nature: giant, metallic killing machines armed with a built-in set of variable weapons, pending on the type of voomer.

Leonardo here with my team to just give a brief update on Megatokyo 2041. We want to show some of the work our Concepts Artist Mr. Sean DiVincenzo has come up with for the newly Rebuilt Hugh Geit Research and Development Facility. I love the Atruim myself being someone with a love for plant life (Too bad I never have one last 3 weeks though.) But the entrance, the lobby, the way the landing pads the whole overall feel of the area with the facilty were done are exactly how we're envisioning MegaTokyo. Seeing the concept to map layout starting to form more as a city now rather than just "maps" is quite exciting.

The above left is part of the Atruim with some lovely Foliage from around the virtual globe, and to our above right is the main entry way to the building's facility. 1 for Staff and 2 for the tourists and group tours.

As you can see here in the lower left hand side is a view of the interior main lobby and common area for the facility, as well as the plasma screens that will of course be preveiwing the latest in Technology from The Hugh Geit line of military and domestic applications. We also have here a preview of the Raptor Mark IIX VTOL Transport Carrier on Landing pad 2 for the corporate's Board Members and Goverment Officals.

Sweet, Maya is one the ways to go, but can see the use for 3d Max for props and such. We're at the tail end of something cool for the UT2004 and UT3 communities atm but our modeler Chris is hard at work with the vehicles as well.

We've actually got 4 voomers modeled. We're going to retexture them for the port over. The DD, that is an old school concept and I have some ideas for something simular but lets not place the cart before the horse lest it becomes an *** ? ;) hahah I made a pun!
