Pirates, Vikings and Knights II is a unique, total conversion of the Half-Life 2 Source engine.
3 teams fight each other for kills, objectives and total domination!
Unique Combat System:
The combat system is something you will not find in other mods. Melee is based off of directional charged attacks and blocks, far from the usual click and slash method found in most games.
Each class has their own set of unique weapons (When I say unique, picture a trained attack parrot) and play styles, as well as class specific special attacks that can be unleashed once the meter is filled.
Multiple Game Modes:
Each map features a game mode that you'll find both unique and entertaining. Game modes include Booty, Holy Grail, Last Team Standing, Territory, Objective Push and Team Deathmatch. Many more are planned for future releases.
Classes:
Each team sports its own set of unique classes. Each class offers its own play style and is most effective in different situations. Altogether we have 18 unique classes planned, 6 for each team!
If you enjoy getting together with people and having an exhilarating time, Pirates, Vikings and Knights II should be top on your list of mods to try!

Hello everyone! Whether you celebrate Kwanzaa, Christmas or Hanukkah, we wish you and your family the best during this holiday season!
A lot of people have been wondering how things are going. As a little Holiday gift, we've decided to bring you some news on 2.3.
Many of you may already know that we're releasing 2.3 on SteamWorks. This will allow us many new features including automatic patching and Achievements. Some of the achievements we have planned for 2.3 are as follows:
I have never lost a melee! - Kill 100 enemies in hand to hand combat.
Survivalist - Win a round of Last Team Standing while still alive.
Parrot Kebab - Kill a parrot with your spear.
Blast Proof - Survive a keg explosion.
Lightning Rod - Get hit by three different specials within 10 seconds.
These are just a few of the many achievements we have planned, there are plenty more to be expected!
With 2.3's release, we're expecting to see an influx of newer players. As a result, we've decided we'll need to even things out between the new player and the advanced player. Though we still expect those who have a lot of experience to do well, we're making some combat changes and features to help new players get a feel for the game quicker. More information will be available on this in the future.
Now, no news post would be complete without some nice screenshots! Below we have, in order:
-The new territory in Desertruin, allowing more space to move around.
-New paths in Forgotten, making it easier to sneak in and out of enemy bases.
-Some preview shots of Pinegrove, which Gaz is working on.
-Some in-game shots of the Gestir weapons.

Not only is this by far the best mod for Half-Life 2 it also shows that mods can do comedy and still remain high class great job.
Yes, this is the best mod I've ever played. It definitely deserves to win the mod of the year award.

Another great mod that I was completely oblivious to! Downloading now...
This has always been at the top of my mod list mainly because I love melee games and the fighting style in this game is very fun. It is one of the best mouse/keyboard sword fighting systems that I have played. Although hearing that you are going to make some changes to make it easier for new people is kind of scary. I have faith in you guys though :)

hay i got the client 2.2 full and all it gave me is 1 file, so i put it in my steam sourcemods and restarted steam but nothing happend. what do i do with the file? plz i want to play this game

I believe you will want to run the file that you download.
It is an .exe which means when you double click it, it will run an installer.
That should take care of installing it into the sourcemods folder and then you can reboot steam. Let me know if you have any issues ;)
