About The Opera
The Opera is a game that places style and flair at its heart. Set in the world of asian gunplay films (HKBO's), The Opera offers a multiplayer internet dueling experience where victory is won through playing with élan and not with efficiency.
Developed over a number of years at Redeemed Software, The Opera has so far seen a release as a modification (or mod), for the bestselling PC Game Half-Life, and is now being developed on Valve's Source engine.
The first release of The Opera challenged multiplayer gaming traditions by rewarding players for the method of killing their enemies rather than the kill itself, while at the same time pushing the limits of the Half-Life engine with impressive movement options and animations.
This release of The Opera, known as 'Release 1' is available to download, but is now unsupported, and has been 'upgraded' with community content in the form of 'The Opera: Mook Arcade Edition', available here.
The second release will challenge The Opera's past endeavors...

If you have any questions about job positions, The Opera game mechanics, or what the colour of blood is, just check out our updated FAQ page, before emailing any questions to our PR department.
This month we are showcasing the "Panic!" schtick.
"Be prepared." This motto stuck with Ng from childhood, and it was the only thing he could trust after trading in camaraderie with corrupt police for a more lucrative life with the triads, who usually had more honor...

This guy is not legit. He's spamming Action Half Life, The Opera and others with shady servers - stay away!
Interesting...
You have to get the team together and finish the opera mod. You broke many hearts, but you can bring the happiness back.
Ahh, the good old days.
Whelp, another fine example of what life can bring you if you still haven't finished High school!
A dead mod, blowing every fan out of the water.
Play Opera Mook Arcade Edition... atleast you'll have bots eh?
Hey. I was a level designer on this mod when it was alive and kicking, and I thought I'd just say that this mod is in fact dead (shock!). So yeah, this mod has been dead for a long time now. I know Aneurexorcyst has been thinking about releasing some sort of content. Wether it is the source code, or one of the alphas that we put together, I have no idea. I don't even know if it'll happen, so don't take what I say to be the absolute truth.
It better be some ******* source!!!111
Excuse my blatant disregard for his dedication but I would happily take his place in perusing being anti-social in the hope of making this come to life once again.
Btw
The maps was good looking. Are you mapping for other mods now?
Sadly, no. I've been way to busy with school and other things lately I just haven't had the time to do any mapping. I'm thinking about picking up the hammer once again in the near future, but nothing is certain for now.
sorry for the late response btw
I would also be interested in helping with mapping and modding to support this project. The original HL1 mod was a source of many great memories for me.
Ahh i see :) You really should start up again. Those maps was sweet :)
Tnx alot for telling us :)
