It's the second half of the '90s. A global war has broken out. Only this time, it's personal. In Commando, take control as GDI commando Marine Captain Jack “Havoc” Sheppard.
Armed to the teeth with a combat knife, a sniper rifle and a bundle of plastic explosives, Jack leaves a trail of destruction wherever he goes.
As you battle your way across arid deserts, icy mountains, luscious woods, and dense jungles, discover stunning environments. The action centers on the global conflict between the fearsome quasi-terrorist Brotherhood of Nod and the UN-funded Global Defense Initiative special forces.
Command your troops and conquer the enemy. Step on the battlefield and utilize a wide range of weapons, from silenced pistols and missile launchers to destructive superweapons like the orbiting satellite-based GDI Ion Cannon and Nod’s nuclear missile.
Drive, ride, pilot. There are more than 30 ways to crush the opposition, ranging from military all-terrain vehicles, helicopters, armored personnel carriers to heavy battle tanks. It is entirely up to you whether the world is saved or dominated.

Yo! It's been a long time in the making, but I finally posted the first draft of the storyline on the Commando website. It's a bit rough on the edges, but it will serve as a building block for things to come. Being an overview of the story, some spoilers are to be expected.

OPERATION: RAINFALL
April 12, 1996
Location: Arumäe, Estonia, 0300 hours
It’s the deep in the night and it’s pitch black. The objective is to get in the Nod base without too much noise and download the data from the Nod Comm Centers’s main console and then sabotage the main console, rendering it inoperative. Once Jack has done that, he must escape the base and evac via GDI Chinook helicopter.
This is based on a Renegade mission that was removed from the game before release. The only remains of that was a cutscene of a version of the game that was sent for press reviews. Here's a video of the removed cutscene in action. Also, the very first E3 Expo preview trailer of the game featured a similar setting.

There were comments below are for a version that was in progress in mid-2000 that failed. I'm working on various aspects on the project during my spare time, including the website. I also have a channel on Twitch and YouTube.
Sooooo what exactly does this mod do? Does it change the single player campaign?
The effect in single player is that enemies have more accurate weapons and faster fire rate. Officers have shotguns instead of miniguns.

:( Not for Source. Awwwww. Well igot Far Cry anyway. Plus levels and drawdistance is better in Far Cry. PLus this mod will wake up modders to get ther dumb assses to make mods for Far Cry :)
