ABOUT MODERN WARFARE: BLACK HAWK DOWN

This mod is based on two distinct periods of modern conflicts; The incident in 1993 in Somalia, Mogadishu where 123 elite U.S. soldiers dropped into central Somalia to capture two top lieutenants of a renegade warlord finding themselves in a desperate battle with a large force of heavily-armed Somalis. The incident is known throughout the world as "Black Hawk Down". The second distinct period that will be included within this mod is present day modern combat in Iraq of 2004/2005 where soldiers find themselves fighting on the streets and houses of Bahgdad in order to halt Saddam's terrifying reign over Iraq. The mod will focus upon a single player storyline of US soldiers fighting for survival in Somalia after an assult turned horribly wrong. Throughout the single player campaign you will find yourself as a US soldier and US Delta Force soldier moving through the city of Somalia in order to "leave no man behind" when MH60 Black Hawk choppers are shot from the sky and crashing in the heart of Somalia. The multiplayer side of this total conversion for United Offensive will highlight the two key areas of conflict explained above. You will be given a choice of fighting in the destroyed and chaos ridden Somalian cities as either a US ranger or US Delta Force soldier, or to fight as a present day US Marine in the fight for Bahgdad and the overthrowing of Saddam Hussein.
