Open Quartz is an attempt to create a fully GPL game based around the GPL Quake sourcecode. It's final goal is to bemoce a complete replacement for Quake. It can also be used to create a standalone game from an existing Quake mod.
The playable version ships with the Darkplaces engine, but OpenQuartz should run on any Quake engine out there.
Currently, the multiplayer part is finished (inlcuding bot support). The single player part still needs models for some of the monsters.
For those of you who thought OpenQuartz is abandoned - no it isn't. It's alive and kickin' :-)
