Half-Life 2 Capture the Flag brings the familiar Capture the Flag game to HL2. It pits the Rebels against the Combine in a fast-paced battle over the flags within the graphics rich environment of the Source engine.
The mod is an homage to the fast-paced run and gun style of CTF and includes many familiar features found in other capture the flag modifications.

As of October 2013 Steam updated to the new Steampipe format which causes clients attempting to connect to a non-Steampipe server to receive the "Steam Validation" error. Servers must update to the new Steampipe format to restore compatibility with the mod.
Due to this update, server admins will only be able to run dedicated servers on Windows as support for the 2006 SDK has not be released for Linux and may be dropped. Many of the current servers (most of which were Linux-based servers) unfortunately had to be dropped. The remaining servers running under Windows should now be updated to the new Steampipe format.

It have bots or not??
I hope that the popularity resurgence this mod has gotten recently convinces the developers to finally come back and resume work on it again, porting over to Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer and finally releasing on Steam.
How did this become the 4th most popular mod today?
Consider this page was last updated 9 years ago (2014) I'm guessing some noteworthy Half-Life YouTube channel made a showcase or discussion video about this.

Strange problem with connecting to servers (to my server too). I used same folder for Source Dedicated Server, but have problem with version of game.
So i'm confused with the last two download options..
One is 2.1 and other is 2.1 full.
Well i did download the full one of course but i see no servers at all (not even like 4 or 5 serves like others "dead mods" out there) So should i try the 2.1 instead?
Any news on the Steam Release?
