The Hunted is a single-player fps game based off of the Darkplaces engine' It is completely standalone meaning you do not need any prior files to run it and it comes in a series called "Chronicles"' These "Chronicles" are used to having a continually flowing story and a difference from weaponry and other things found in-game'
Each "Chronicle" tells the story of a lone survivor escaping the city that has been overcome by the infected' The infecteds' symptoms at the time of the survivor's adventure are not clear but as the chronicles are released the story unfolds to make it quite clear as to why, where, when, and how this survivor came to be in a horror show such as this'

A' You start unarmed, and essentially defenseless'
Q 'I picked up a weapon, but I don't know if I received it'
A' key [1] is knife and key [2] is the pistol, which are the included possible items to receive in Chronicle - 1
Q' I can't kill the zombies!
A' Try hitting them then backing up' Repeat until dead, or, re-dead
Q' Where do I go ?!
A' You're the explorer, search every area, chances are these rooms have a purpose'' Right?
Q' That was too short! Where is the rest?

The Hunted Chronicle - 2 "Feign" is in developement and has been coming along smoothly so far. I don't want to jump on the hype machine too much but I'd like whatever form of audience I have to have a small glimpse into the differences between Chronicle 1 -> Chronicle 2.
- Chronicle 2 "Feign" will be much more atmospheric (ambience, more interaction)
- Will feature more puzzles that require more thought behind them while still keeping the player entertained.
- Much more firepower, while still keeping on the thinking and dodging aspect of the gameplay. The knife will not be your only hope !
- Better models and backwards compatible (Chronicle - 2 zombies work in Chronicle - 1)

had to use no clip to get a gun and the gun had barely any ammo
also the knife is completely useless

hhmmm this can be played in coop but the other player is invisble to both players and its really annoying and i as wondering if there anyway around this i dont care if the other player just shows up as a cube
dammit i saw the name of this thinking it could have something to do with the movie, The Hunted, but instead i find a game that nobody likes and keep complaining about. you should change the name...
FOR ALL OF YOU LOOKING FOR THE GUN, THE LEVEL DESIGN MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND... IT IS IN A ROOM AT THE TOP OF THE ELEVATOR THAT SAYS IT REQUIRES A SECURITY KEY. THE KEY IS IN THE ROOM WHERE THERE IS AN HOLE NEAR THE CEILING THAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO JUMP ON THE TABLE TO GET TO, BUT ARE UNABLE TO JUMP HIGH ENOUGH. IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE GAME, AND BE ABLE TO GET THE GUN, GO HERE FOR CHEATS USABLE IN THE CONSOLE: zedtoo.demon.co.uk/quake/q31.html
The console is accessed by pressing ` and closed by pressing `.(the key to the left of 1) In the main menu enter sv_cheats 1 (remember to add the space between the s and the 1) and then start a new game. Then in teh console enter the cheats you will need. (Personally I used QUAD-DAMAGE, which is temporary and Invincibly)
Soo..playing with the knife on zombies like try to stab and go backward, this thing 37 times * 10? then one animation only, one weapon, a few medikits, zombies with stupid IA, at a certain point I said "screw it" and I used God mod instead, too bad you putted a lots of effort into taking off the guns, so I did not finish it, i was near but it was toooooooo boring. Sorry.
I totally understand, I was trying a lot of stuff out at the time :)

Darkplaces Engine its a modfied Quake Engine
It is the quake engine,the one that's the root of gldsource.Not sure though.
