Hall of Mirrors
Feb 22, 2006 Full Version 8 commentsThe modification is loosely based on the movie "Equilibrium" with the main focus of the work being based upon implementing a new combat system...
"In a futuristic world, a strict regime has eliminated war by suppressing emotions: books, art and music are strictly forbidden and feeling is a crime punishable by death. Cleric John Preston is a top ranking government agent responsible for destroying those who resist the rules. When he misses a dose of Prozium, a mind-altering drug that hinders emotion, Preston, who has been trained to enforce the strict laws of the new regime, suddenly becomes the only person capable of overthrowing it"
The modification is loosely based on the movie "Equilibrium" with the main focus of the work being based upon implementing a new combat system similar to the "gun kata" seen in some of the action scenes of the movie. The "Gun Kata" allows the player to take on several adversaries at the same time with dual weapons and gun them down in unison, much like what we see in the action movies of today where the hero wields dual handguns and shoots at different targets with each hand. This sort of stylish gun battle is what you can expect to see once the mod is released to the public.
The mod's focus is pure action and style, if you like shooting enemies and gunning them down in the coolest way possible then this mod just might be what you've always been looking for!

It's been a while since we released HoM to the public. After quite a bit of well deserved rest, the team has started to discuss the possibility of creating another mod. The engine or the theme has not been decided yet, but you can rest assured that the quality and gameplay of whatever we produce in the future will match or improve upon the quality of our last release.
I have been toying with the idea of also dusting off my copy of Max Payne 2 and adding a few bug fixes and adding a couple of the features I planned to add to HoM before we got worn out of developing for it but I'm not quite sure if there is enough public interest to warrant it, seeing as the MP2 community has grown quiet as of late.
As a means of gauging the interest in another release of HoM and any of our future projects, I've decided to advertize our Gameflood mod profile. If you liked the mod and would like to see some more from us, please click on the link and vote for us!
Also in case you were wondering what features I was talking about up there, here's a screenshot to help illustrate the point.
Thank you all for your support!

lol the pistols looked like they were shootin like machineguns
sorry my bad english!
Awesome mod. but, I need more stage
the best mod ever...the movie was deep , the game was deeper
the animations are a bit choppy but good job nonetheless
Personally I thought this mod was better than EQ Gunkatas, the Gunkata in this game seemed to be much faster and more fluid. Also in EQ Gunkatas as opposed to HoM ,I thought it was difficult to actually hit enemies with the moves and stuff. Anyway Two Thumbs up.
how do i install the mod?
Oh god, why all of you people think that EQ Gunkatas v3.0 was stolen?
Can anybody explain why do you think that please?
I've got an error in the window, when I starting the game with your mod:
"Exception in engineInit:R_Script: Can't parse assignment to variable "SlotIndex"
in [attributes]/[Cleric.txt]!
Assignment: "slotid_cleric" Format:"%d""
Any solutions?
alright i got some really really good news. i saw a mistake that the devs made (maybe it's mine for installing the upgrades mod FYI but it was nothing like this)
and it involves huge blood explosions when you trow a grenade. it rocks man. and now this is much much MUCH better than gunkatas 3.0
a mistake that did something good!
No mistake, I put it there as an easter egg of sorts :-P
