1944 D-Day : Operation Overlord
is the simulation of an event. It does not strive to tell the story of one unit or one squad. Instead it endeavors to tell the story of the battle. The game at its core is driven by a highly adaptable AI system, this AI system controls over 250,000 units in real-time. Moving them all around the battlefield and adapting their orders, objectives and tasks to an every evolving battlefield.
As the player the game is in your control. You have the ability to choose from any unit in the battlefield, so you will always find something interesting to take part in. If you are a war nut, fan of tanks, planes, infantry or squad based combat, or just interested in large scale first person shooters. 1944 D-Day : Operation Overlord will always have something distinct and interesting to offer you.

and according to the images it looks like they have 17% done which should reduce the release date.
and is it damn true that its coming out in 2012 i mean i know that game take long to create but it should probably take 1 to 2 years or something.
Awesome! I've been looking for a game that has many AI and really realistic game play in a fps and please don't put a tag on it it'll be really rare to find it Thailand.
It was always a game, there was mods to test proof of concepts and the intention was never to release it for free, but rather provide a product to the gaming community that they would feel worth their money.
It is game now, and now it is not free ?

Because we had people asking when the release date was every other week. So to stop that we have simply said May 1st 2012 and that allows us to focus on the development, not on answering the same question week in week out. I suspect it will come out sooner than that date, but the team still stands by : May 1st 2012.
Added some rail props, we are still hard at work on the game.
