QUAKE | System 4 is a small episode add-on for Quake 1.

_collection

For centuries, Earth's most elite men of wealth and power kept the flux of a dark tradition alive. Military, megacorporations, government and research aligned together as the powerful group known as "System 4". With their strong belief that domination of lower society would please timeless occultic forces (including other-dimensional 'Shub-Niggurath') and bring about immortality and demigod status, the governmental wing set forth a gradual plan of transparent control. With initiation of the plan set forth, the first couple control groups consisting of prisoners and dissidents were gathered under the guise of "national security".

_transmogrification

Internally funded research laboratories were tasked with bringing together technology and archaic black arts (enchantment, necromancy, diabolism, etc.). The number and classification of control groups soon expanded, all fodder for grotesque and unreal experimentation. Henceforth criminals, heretics, radicals and dissidents were branded a uniform role - the government's puppet -- the malevolent army of Shub Niggurath. Each individual became unrecognizable from their former self. Some made into grunt soldiers without a conscience, some became nightmarish, demonic manifestations. The rest of the civilized world would slowly but certainly be damned into evil submission.

_extermination

The elite had it's own handful of dissidents as well. A few within the Global Military Force could no longer keep the dark secret to themselves, despite the inevetiable, horrendous consequences. The brass in your Marine unit would soon be knocking at your barracks door to ask a little favor...

Well, nothing makes it any different because I'm not looking to innovate anything. I just want to make a neat 6 level add-on and without pretentious claims. My mod's motive and the recent award that I disagree with, have no connection.

It's just a clash of thinking which can be prevalent anywhere really, but I've decided not to stick around here, because it bugs me.

Hmmm...so how, pray tell me, is this mod more original than the mod that won the originality award? I haven't heard anything about this mod that makes it sound anything more than a (very nice) map expansion pack.

Don't get me wrong, your pack looks awesome. I just don't see anything here that hasn't been done anywhere else. What makes this different to other map packs?

I hope i can run this on the pocket quake for the psp.

Possible, but not sure, as System 4 uses custom HUD/GUI graphics - so if the PSP port keeps everything in PAKs and allows mods, it should run - but I have no idea how well.
