Redux Weapons HEV Hands
Nov 19, 2006 Weapons Model 2 commentsOpposing Force Redux weapons put on HEV hands
Opposing Force Redux is a enhancement package for Opposing Force. It is designed to work with the new Steam Client provided by Valve. Opposing Force Redux enhances your Opposing Force installation beyond what was thought to be possible with the High Definition pack that shipped with Blue Shift.
Redux is a community project. It is non-profit and contains work from members of many communities. Such communities are Half Life Improvement Team, which provide invaluable support and a great source of custom Half Life content. However most of the work is done by our Team.
Redux is a complete visual and audio overhaul for Opposing Force. Containing new models, sounds, sprites and some map enhancements to immerse you into a new level of game play. Even the smallest of details have been reworked to give your now fancy ass gaming computer something to chew on. This is not a Source project/port.
Currently in development, we have replaced near over 550 sounds, and 50 models and showing progress towards more. Redux takes advantage of every feature in the Half Life engine. From transparencies, chrome effects and additive textures used in ways thought to be outdated. Along with crisp new sound effects, high quality models which polygon counts are hardly never below 1,000 keep the always proud Opposing Force looking its best.

Greetings fans,
We have officially given ourself a name after much debate, Napalm Editon. We are also updating the website with new images and hope to have a new batch of media on the way ASAP! Please see our website for more information and details. With the summer coming up, we hope to get more done and have more to show. If you are a mapper, you should really talk to us, we could use your help. I think ours is going bonkers and could use some assistance before he maps the entire game from scratch. Now that will make an impressive Resume.
Cheers!

hello i would like to request of the use of the wrench for my mod. credit of course
Hello again! I managed to make this mod work on my local installation. The problem was that I had not run the game once (WHICH IS NEEDED AND THE READ ME DOES NOT SAY IT) before installing this (or any other) mod.
Also, my game creates two "Gearbox" directory which I suspect happens for all Valve games that have some localization. "Gearbox" and "Gearbox swedish" (in my case) are created. The Mod content must go to the second.
So far I appreciate the chances save for the arm holding the shotgun. It seems to have a wrong perspective altogether and stands out for being not smooth.
Other than that, good job.
Hello! I own Opposing Force which I bought years ago as part of Sierra's Half Life: Generation.
Can I install Opposing Forces from my compilation and then use your Mod on it?
I read about Half Life mods that require that you have the game downloaded from Steam? Why would it be so? People that have the original game like me are then cut off? Does this apply to your Mod as well? I read the installation instructions but it is not mentioned there.
Thanks!
well no offence, but how long has it been since an update? but hey, i love this mod, i have it in my half life and blue shift to :P
wait... this also works with blue shift?
Well, its kinda finished, ya know? Most of the bugs were squished with the patch.
I had downloaded this mod and have enjoyed it much, great improvement. I have other mods too and one in particular. The graphical ingame interface is screwed. I cant see my waepons in the menu, and other features don't work. I can't remember where I downloaded the file to, so if anybody remembers which game this mod is installed into I would like to know so I may solve problem. Thanks and great mod. pm me.
You fix the problem by installing it correctly and not screwing around with things unnecessarily.
GOOD JOB!I LOVE IT very much
