Sky Pirates is a total conversion mod of HalfLife 2 (HL2) in which there are two teams of pirates (both of which have player and npc's on them) fight maneuvering from floating island to island on flying ships. arsenal including swords, axes, and spears for melee combat, to all sorts of guns and rifles for ranged. over 30 different weapons in all. There will be a new leveling system intertwined with the gameplay, so you will level up and get stronger as you advance through the game with upgrades to health, armor, aim, etc.
This once flourishing mod with many active members and a nice strong healthy website was shut down once and had to continue under a different name, at its peak, in all of its prosperity, the mod had to be shut down, and down it stayed for 6 whole months, all of the work done on it, gone, all the maps and charecters, gone. now, all thats left to do is rebuild from the ground up, but my question to you is. . . who's with me,
I no longer have any of the maps I made so I need to restart on all of them as well, so the map that was in the picture no longer exists,
I need a few good men/women to help man my modding crew, if you think you can offer me any help, and I mean ANY, please feel free to hit me up on AIM

*Concept Artist* - really need some good artist that can draw really well.

Public relations - need one or 2 to help spread the word of this resurrected mod
*Texture artist* - very important need some as soon as possible
weapon modeler - would be very useful
weapon skinner - would be nice
weapon animator - not really needed at this time
**WebMaster** - would be very very useful right now
Builder(compiler) - I have no idea how to compile it all together. (would be 2nd in command)

I think it's a good idea. Just keep making the mod, don't even mention Skies of Arcadia. Pretend you don't know what it is. Then upload somewhere and enjoy.
I think sega is still making money on SoA though. They released a new version for some new console, can't remember which one though.

All I can say is, **** sega. Just post the download anonymously or something, like on Ihud.
**** game companies. They aren't making any money off the game anymore, the mod-makers wouldn't make any money off the mod, so what the **** do they care?
You know, all they had to do to avoid that was not say it was based on "Skies of Arcadia"... I'm pretty sure Pirates are not copyrighted by Sega.
