World War I, also known as the The Trench War, the Great War, the War of the Nations and the War to End All Wars, was a world conflict occurring from 1914 to 1918. The war was fought by the Allies on one side, and the Central Powers on the other. No previous conflict had mobilized so many soldiers or involved so many in the field of battle. By its end, the war had become the second bloodiest conflict in recorded history.
World War I became infamous for trench warfare, where troops were confined to trenches because of tight defenses. This was especially true of the Western Front. Over 9 million died on the battlefield, and nearly that many more on the home front due to food shortages, genocide, and ground combat. Among other notable events, chemical weapons were used for the first time and the first large-scale bombing from the air was undertaken.
The Trench War is World War 1 modification for Call Of Duty 2. The Trench War is aimed to be as realistic as possible, including several gamestyles, countries and weapons.

Mod aint dead
I've heard that there have been rumours going around that mod would be dead.
But i can assure you that the mod aint dead;
we have just been to busy with mod to inform anything new on our sites or mod database.
We are planning media update at the end of the week.
We have just finished British Lewis Machinegun and Lee-Enfield SMLE Mark III Rifle models and we are doing new websites etc.

I have just finished a corse on ww1 and a bit after. I have being to the sites of the. E.G somme and ypres. SO if you could do with some help just email me back

Before WW1, I think that the brittish used old tactics used in the napoleonic era, with some changes though. then some guy offered the machine gun to the brittish. the poms refused it 'cause they said their tactics worked really well and they did not want it. then the guy took the machine gun to the germans who gladly took it. also what stopped the machine gun was tanks. machine guns can't stop tanks. course the early tanks were nothing more than tractors with heavy armour but the machine guns couldn't stop them. by the way, does anyone here play warhammer? cause there's this tank from WW1 which looks almost exactly like the landraider, same shape and everything.

I am Italian myself and I would really like to see my ancestors in the great, glorious battles on the Italian front during WW1.
The italian battles in WW1 remember of the Russian battles during WW2: desperate charges and humongous, bloody assaulLooking forward to see the Piave river in Italian hands soon with this mod.
