Quake 4 mod | Released Oct 29, 2005
q4X is a modification for Raven Software and id Software's Quake 4 -- developed by w0rM with the assistance of the gAm3 is g00d community. The mod was inspired by Mr. Pants Q3 Excessive. I've tried to make the mod with very much the same spirit of fun and over the top speed and mayhem of the original Excessive mod.
In q4X you start will all 10 weapons and 400 in health. Your health will countdown to 300 after you spawn. All weapons have 999 in ammo and are much faster and more powerful than any weapons in the standard game.
Self damage is greatly reduced (usually not more than 1 point of health) opening the door for some crazy weapon jumping! You can jump using almost any projectile weapon! Fire the grenades, rockets, nailgun, hyperblaster or the DMG at the ground or a wall and off you go!
q4X is fast and furious and not for the weak! So strap on that Rocket Launcher and get ready for Quake 4 - HARDCORE!

Can someone explain to me why this mod crashes my computer and three of my friends computers everytime we run it?
Will be excited to see how it plays once the needed info is released so things like Quad can be removed and ammo and health can be regenT. And less ammo to start with too, 999 nades are way2much LMAO

When the SDK is out I'll be able to do a lot more with the weapons. The long term plan is to have ammo like Q3 Excessive but since I can't make ammo regen I thought I'd just give everyone more than they can use. Otherwise you'd just get to a point where you'd have to suicide to reload.

Nice initiative... but
Toooooo muuuutch amooooooo... its a spam party every game. Knock'em down to something close to the original pants mod.
The weapon splash radius feels too small, if i kneel i get more of the feel in original.
To make any kind of slides feels impossible, like a bug on flypaper, its like someone left the brakes on, or something, led in my boots.
