Utilizing both FPS and Third Person-mode, Point of Conflict brings together the best of two worlds. Lock and Load in First Person with the Marines with accurate aim or use the enviroment to your advantage in Third Person-mode as the Aliens. Each player receives a set number of points to spend on their character. Players do not gain levels or experience, instead they choose from either preset templates (Classes) or from Equipment and a Talent-tree. The Marines get to pick different kinds of equipment depending on the weight of the items and the players total carrying capacity. Aliens on the other hand gets to pick abilities from a Talent-tree, such as Leap. Additional points can also be put in abilities, like Strength and Speed
