C&C: ShockWave is an enhancement mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour.
The main goal of this mod is to make Zero Hour a more interesting game with more diversity between the generals, making you think twice before you select a certain general, and overall provide more choices, diversity, and strategic freedom than in Zero Hour - while keeping the spirit and design direction of the original Generals game and storyline.
ShockWave will include 3 new Generals in version 0.95, over 100 new units, tons of new structures, upgrades and maps, a fully working navy, and many other gameplay tweaks. ShockWave also provides completely custom made sound effects and music, new in-game weapon effects and visuals, bug fixes, and an improved battlefield overview with a higher viewpoint.
The 3 new generals - Deathstrike, Ironside and Leang will get their own general's challenge maps, and we will implement their voices, taunts and personality as EA intended. Part of ShockWave's intent is to clean up EA's rushed release job and let people enjoy the game the way it was meant to be.
The Navy will be added in version 1.0, however that's only accessable on special Navy-compatable maps, because you can't have a Battleship in a pond. There is currently no AI for the three new generals, but they will be added eventually. The next version ,v. 0.952, is mainly a balance patch, and will fix some of the balance and redundancy issues with 0.951 (as that version was mainly a bug patch). It will also well as add some units and fix some bugs. Version 0.952 will NOT have AI for the new generals; the new general's AI will most likely be in the next major release.
ShockWave runs closed and open beta versions, and we strive to preserve balance between all the different factions to make sure the game is equally enjoyable online and offline. Bug hunting is top priority for us, and ShockWave is one of the most stable mods out for Zero Hour. Even so, Shockwave is still a Beta, and there are bound to be bugs we haven't fonud yet.

Please Don't ask for the release date, or even an estimate, as there is never a release date.
NOTE: Currently most of our team is working on another mod, Rise of the Reds, consequently there will be a lot less media updates. But rest assured, Shockwave is not dead. (It's just hibernating :P )
NOTE: If you ask any tech support questions in the comment box, they will be deleted. Get support at the offsite forums instead. Before you ask, remember this: try a clean install first.
- The install order is for the latest version is: Gen. > ZH > ZH 1.04 patch > SW v0.95 > SW v.0951 patch

Ahoy ShockWave fans,
Today we got a small media update for you displaying 2 new units for the next release.
First of the new troop crawler for General Kwai:
General Kwai has reviewed his tactics recently. After days of exercises, he came up with a new design to replace the standard Chinese Troop Crawler. These new transports proved to have a speed advantage over the old ones. With the removal of non important parts, this Crawler also became much cheaper to produce but also lost some durability. With efforts to reduce weight, transportation has been reduced to six troops. Speedy and efficient, these transports can quickly support Kwai's tank columns.
Second is the new Bullfrog Transport availible for all Chinese factions present in the game.
China recently has employed again an old trasport that had been retired. The Bullfrog is now used as a recon vehicle and light troop transport. Enemy generals have been trying to adapt to this new threat but China so far has been very cunning in it's use. The sighting of a Bullfrog can be very terrifying as they announce China is now aware of one's presence.
Bullfrog are produced at the command center and require no prerequisites. They are very cheap but are also fairly weak, but are pretty good for early game rushes, scouting, and tech building grabs. The Bullfrog may look weird to a lot of you, but it's based on a real vehicle used by the chinese army which you can see here Sinodefence.com.
Special thanks to Overdose for writing descirptions for the units shown above.
That will be all for today see you in the next update

I have tried almost every mod for C&C Generals and some of them are quite good, but none stand up to Shockwave! all the other mods are just maps or something about Iraq or the Cold War or even the original C&CGenerals! Shockwave stands out the most and is truly a great mod!I hope there is 'ANOTHER' update, cos' it just gets better and better!
I agree this is the best mod for zh so far but rotr looks really good... we will have to wait and see I guess.
Wow! That would be great^^
More power to your mod^^
So... will there be no plan in adding A.I. for the new generals?
B.T.W. The best mod so far for Zero Hour, Keep up the good job^^
Cant wait for RoTR^^
There will definitely be AI for the new gens in later versions. But there won't be any in the next version, version 0.952. 0.952 is mainly a balance patch (as opposed to 0.951, which was mainly a bug patch). Maybe in 0.96, plans aren't solid yet, so I'm not sure.
Hmmmm... in SW v0.952... will the new generals have AI?
No it won't, it's main purpose is to furhter smooth out all the bugs and balance issues brought forth by version .95 and unfixed by v.951. I think when this version comes out, you'll find that there has been big changes in terms of balance, and redundancy (there's less of that).
well i wish that this bug will be out : when i am General USA SUPER WEAPONS at the end of skirmish or chalange it crashez but if i am in the same team the game crashez at the end.
A very similar thing happens to me. I have installed a clean copy of ZH and patched it. I installed the mod, but very recently a new issue has arised. When ever I win a match as the USA laser general, regardless of whether it is in skirmish or challenge, I get the serious error.
Also, if I play with my friend online, and I choose the laser gen, we both get a serious error upon victory (not a mismatch, a serious error).
Very strange, but still my favourite released mod to date.
I'm surprised that it works at all; you're not really supposed to install more than one mod in one install. Now that mods are more sophisticated, many of them are no longer 'destructive mods' (mods that overwrite the orig games files). Sometimes these games are compatible with each other. I believe CWC is compatible with SW. All SWR production mods from now on will be 100% compatible with each other.
As for your issue, it's not something that we are likely to solve. I'm not exactly sure why that would occur either, because SW shouldn't overwrite any files during install. DF should have an identical source game, not really sure why it's having issues. :(
