The Source Engine will be spinning when Orion Wing brings the concept of unrestricted movement and fast-paced, tactical combat this year. Six degrees of freedom allows the user to move in any direction, using one axis or more, ala the Descent series.
Players assume the role of the pilot of a lone planetary fighter, known as a "Wing", capable of sustaining Zero-G flight in no- and low-gravity environments. Equipped with cutting-edge Progressive Shielding, EMP Countermeasures and Primary and Secondary weapon systems--the Wings are the weapon of choice for small-scale planetary conflict.
-Combat will be fast-paced and tactical, as death can come from anywhere.
-Over five ships, six different Primary weapons and eight Secondary weapons allow for multiple modes of destruction.

Leaping Lizard Software is currently looking for testers for closed alpha testing of the upcoming multiplayer-only Source engine FPS, Deep 6 (http://www.deep6game.com)
Taking a cue from the pulp comics of the 1940s and 50s, Deep 6 takes players into a world submerged under the sea, where the battle of World War II rages on. Players take command of a fighter-sub, caught up in the ongoing battle between the Axis and Allies for control of the lost city of Atlantis.
Focusing solely on multiplayer combat, Deep 6 contains four different gamemodes that will keep players coming back for more, including Deathmatch/Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and two more never-before-seen gamemodes- "Rip Off" and "Blitzkrieg." Combat is fast-paced and frenetic... with full 360 degrees of movement, combat can come from any direction - at any time. A large arsenal of new, unique weapons makes sure combat is diverse and rewarding.

Just about a month ago i played Descent 3 and thought "it would be great if there was a mod for source that would be based on Descent" and BANG!!! This is great! Just one thing: Make it as 'descenty' as u can , and you'll win a devoted fan yourselves! :D

What is this 6DoF and how is it different than most other shooters/sims? I mean, Descent had "6DoF" did it not? (Btw, your "Reaper" looks a lot like the Pyro)
