S.W.A.T. is exactly what the name implies, a mod based on SWAT operations. Our goal is to bring some tactical infantry fighting and combine it with Battlefield 2's explosive gameplay to come up with something completely revolutionary.
It's time the battles hit home. You've got the gears, the guns, and all the equipment you'll ever need, so use it! Fight for what is right, or fight for whatever the hell it is you want! It's your choice, and no one can say otherwise! So go kick ass.
With an extremely large arsenal at your disposal, you'll have the chance to fight in some of the most extreme urbanized places. From harbours to, downtown, to even your own backyard. You've never fought a war like this before! Fight to survive, fight for your team, fight for your cause!

It's time again to show another up-date. Today we are showing our FN SPR Swat sniper rifle by Havoc. As we have seen in battlefield 2 you either love the sniper calls or it. For our sniper rifles are a 1 shot hit kill and are very accurate, though reload and the time to get your cross hairs close will be longer. NOTE: this is only how it is for now, it still may change during testing if we see fit.
Next we have an m-16, this too has been ed by Havoc. As most of you know we also have an m-4 in the mod for swat, the m-16 will have pros and cons as does the m-4 m-16 vs m-4 will be m-16 wins in accuracy but the m-4 will win in the fact that its easier to use with a mounted sight and can go fully auto unlike the m-16's 3 round burst.

This is a new time with gas prices going up and the war spreading from just iraq going throught the middle east, due to everything that has been going on people have become worse. People need money, so with immagrents now estimated to be around 4 million in the U.S. the loss of jobs have gone way up.
I have a hard time imagining how a game that actually has to do with SWAT operations could be fun. Or even multiplayer.
What are a good number of SWAT operations? A team of guys out by some crazy hick's house who has a shotgun. SWAT is supposed to come in with nobody noticing, clear the area, and go back home. Any sort of drawn-out conflict is not what SWAT is about.
To be frank, i feel that the textures do not do justice to the models. I looked at your P90 and M4 models, and realised that the model itself was quite high detailed in itself, but didn't show in your renders, from what looked to be low resolution textures.
I'm an experienced modeller, and from my experience of modelling for over 6 years, those textures aren't good enough... not defining enough to the detail of the actual models... too dull if you will.
This mod has great potential, but one thing that you have to keep in mind that S.W.A.T. isn't really just a name. You can't really put large scale maps and expect to call it SWAT. i'd just be another Counter-Strike clone. I'd like to see indoor maps, and probably a limit on players in the map, as a usual 64 wouldn't do. If you want it tactical, think tactical.
Well, apart from that, i really look forward to seeing improvements in the mod. Please make it something different guys. I've seen lots of mods die out even before release, especially the promising ones. MAKE THIS WORK! =D
