This is a mod for BFME1 that lets you build anywhere. It should bring a little life back into Battle for Middle-earth 1 fans who enjoy the simplicity of the gameplay but want a little more.

The building functionality is done in a command and conquer style rather than a warcraft style (i.e. click and place rather than a peasant going out to build).

A new power is found on the left side of the screen that you click and place anywhere that is valid (not on top of other buildings or in unexplored, unpathable terrain). Then you may rotate the plot so the building faces your desired direction and then you choose your building to build (still costs the same as the normal game).

Please see the readme.txt for more information.

Hey dvs.rhl ...I tried as you described. but it doesn't work. always get an error message. like unknown command or command duplicated or missing command. I can't replace spells. how exactly do you do that. I can't do it. Best regards

I just figured out how to make it work and also modified it to work in the campaign, you basically have to replace a power for one of the existing 12 from the campaign in commandset.ini both spellbook and purchase spell, in the science.ini add a purchase spell too, just copy the format from another purchase, and change the enum to something like heal for it to work anywhere, otherwise its eligibility is limited by whatever the enum is (has to match a summon power, base uses the balrog which limits) heal works everywhere, even in castles unlike most other summon powers. if that's not clear send me a message, i love this game and am just figuring out how to customize my own mods to work with how i want the game to play
