Grand Larceny mod for Half-Life 2

Grand Larceny is a multiplayer team-based tactical shooter involving SWAT officers and crooks battling it out in a major bank robbery heist in San Francisco.

Heavily armed robbers have taken over a bank in downtown San Francisco late in the evening. Police have surrounded the building and helicopters are hovering above. A swat team has been called in to infiltrate. The first team decides to enter from the back. The second team uses a different approach, and decides to ram the swat van through the wall to enter the lobby. An intense and deadly firefight begins.

Our goal in this project is to be as innovative with the game play as possible in the already saturated FPS genre. We have many new and exciting things planned for this mod. The areas we are most focusing on are shooting recoil, UI, Vehicle interaction and physics to name a few.

Our plan is to get beta 1 finished as soon a possible, with a relatively small team. We are looking at a 3-4 month development time frame. All of the existing models, textures, animations, and coding that is already in Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike will be used for beta 1. This is so we can focus on the game play elements, and worry about content later. Once beta 1 is finished, we will continue tweaking the game play, and start overhauling the content.

I stress that we are going to try to get this first version finished as soon as possible, by designing one level, focusing on game play elements, and utilizing all the existing content already in Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike. We will then proceed to overhaul the content.
