CSS SCI FI is a single-player mod for Half-Life 2. Using the latest version of SMOD, which is included, the mod puts the player through 27 intense combat missions set in Counter-Strike: Source environments. Each map contains a unique scripted scenario which is enhanced by random scripting so that the game is never the same twice. Players will fight everything from Striders to slave Vortigaunts, plus a range of Combine enemies armed with many new weapons. |

A major patch for CSS SCI FI has been released. CSS SCI FI is an SMOD-based single-player mod for Half-Life 2 which puts the player through a series of missions set in Counter-Strike: Source environments.
The 2.1 patch adds a new "Campaign Mode". All 27 maps can now be played in two unique campaigns. As the missions become harder, the player is given better weapons. Players can also use the SMOD Configuration Utility to select "Round Mode", in which the current map reloads when the objectives are complete, for easier repeat play.
The patch also includes numerous improvements and bug fixes, such as sound fixes and improved a.i. navigation. Core SMOD files have been upgraded to version 39D2. This upgrade improves shaders and particle effects and adds four unique bullet time modes, each of which can be enabled using the included SMOD Configuration Utility.
Players who have already downloaded and installed CSS SCI FI 2.0 should download the patch, while players new to the game should download the complete CSS SCI FI 2.1 package.

I like so much this mod. If you like CSS and single player games then you this. Configuration options are amazing! Compared to SMOD:Tactical it's much more customizable.

To everyone: No fix for the addcontents.txt file is required. Recent updates to Steam have restored full functionality. The mod runs perfectly straight out of the box. The only issue you may experience is long loading times, about which nothing can be done.

Ok... so... I downloaded and installed everything, and I can open up the game... but after I run it, I can't actually play a mission or a campaign. I select a campaign/mission, and either double click it or click on the "start new game" button, and nothing happens. The campaign/mission select window disappears, and nothing else happens.
im download the mod but need reinstall all om my computer because a virus on a file of a download not this file another and im cant play :(
really unlucky
I have the same problem as liquidicevi (may be he already solved it) and i tried that thing with addcontent, but when i can acces and play, all the models have error and they glow with purple things, so can someone upload a done and ready to play modified "addcontent.txt" ????
... because I cant make the game work because of that :(
hope there it will continue for half life 2 episodes lets hope it will
