For Alexi it was just going to be another day.
Another day of patrols.
Another day of old coffee.
Another day in the labs.
But in Russia, nothing stays the same for very long.
Yeropol Airbase suffers a brief power cut, and Alexi is sent topside to examine the situation. Horrified at what he see's he makes his way back to the labs and communicates with Moscow. Moscow realises that they have big trouble, and it's up to Alexi to sort it all out...
Yeropol is a former airbase in Siberia, Eastern Russia, but the airbase had only been a cover story. During the Cold War it had been a weapons research facility and following the end of the Cold War it became the sister facility of Black Mesa (where the original Half-Life was set). The Yeropol Conspiracy mod is set 2 days after the Black Mesa incident. Following Black Mesa, the Whitehouse informed the Kremlin of the Black Mesa incident and warned them that a similar incident could occur there. The Russians shunned the idea and told the Americans to keep to themselves and it was merely their blunder. American generals formulated a plan to raid Yeropol with special forces to ensure the experiments were discontinued and shut it down. Permanently.
Sorry for the lack of updates. We've all been really busy (both with our real lives, as well as TYC) so it's been difficult to give you guys any nice updates. :(
For starters, braeden (our mapper) has already retired, leaving us with a handful of uncompiled maps. So now it's back to seeking a mapper (oh what an incredibly tiresome process that is...). If you're interested, check out our profile for more info about the mod: Tyc.moddb.com
Now on to the good stuff! The mod is progressing at an incredible speed. Already, we're breaking the barriers set by Half-Life, and exploring new territories that nobody has ever thought of before (at least that I know of). That's all I can really say about the mod as a whole, but I think I'm permitted to at least give you an update on my part for the past 3 months. :)
Programming is no easy task, let me assure you, but it's fun and rewarding. I'm learning so much about AI programming, graphics programming, and more. It's not even funny. I think that by the time we complete the first Alpha build for the mod, the AI will be somewhere near a modern AI system. That is, enemies might:
Keep in mind that all of that is undecided, and I'm still toying around with a lot of stuff. But things are looking good so far for our future players. That's all I can say for now. Hopefully I'll be able to give another nice update soon. :)

THIS MOD IS DEAD!
This mod is dead??
yeeeeah. too much RL stuff going on.
Looking good, even though it's still WIP!
Still living,
MiN3R
We've slowed down considerably, it's true. I'm releasing a small unit pack containing some of the modelst that we intended to use for the mod over on the Sven Coop forums. If you're interested then head over there and search for 'Russian Forces' and you'll have the first beta release. There's more on the way.
sounds good your mod.... are you still working on it?
Did you do any procress since 2008?
keep it up with the great work.
I uploaded a picture of one of the new crates with new textures and depth, meaning it's not just one square block.
Uploaded some pictures of the WIP Barracks, I'm using the cs_office textures for the snow, and the mud/snow texture I made myself.
I'm currently working on some maps for this mod. And I'm using the halflife.wad, but I'm trying to use those textures you never get to see very much in Half-Life.
Also, if anyone on the team have pictures of wall/other things, I can turn them inte textures if you would like me to.
I have an idea for this mod. I want to suggest about branching map system, i mean you have 2 or more alternative way to complete.
Example: I create a map, a main map (map that contain chapter transition or have major plot dor the storyline) this map have branch to 2 or more map this will branching as much as you want then if you can connect it to another main map.
This system have benefit such as lower requirement than create one huge map because we just create a lot of small map, higher replay value. Maybe the disadvantage is a lot of map to create and the mapper have extra work. But for higher value it acceptable.
