Vampire Slayer 2.0 - this is a sequel of a popular mod for Max Payne 2. We decided to rethink al the old ideas and now we present absolutely new mod. Now Vampire Slayer is not just "antivampire mod". We decided to combine ideas of many movies, books, comics, that was about vampires and overall dark forces. Underworld, Constantine, Van Hellsing etc. Absolutely all player's weapons are new. All guns are high quality detailed and animated + there are absolutely new types of weapons. We mean new for all MP2 mods. First of all this is magic. Ignite, blow up, kill your enemies. Magic is a separate weapon with completely different magic for different tactical situations: fireball is needed for removing enemies from long distances, cross magic is good at destroing close foes. All enemy's skins will be changed (stay tuned) according to main theme of the mod - yes, the ones who will be vaporized by you is the vampires.
There will be 4 playable characters: Vampire Slayer, Steel Samurai, Blade and Dark Wizard. The last one will use magic.
The weapon of Slayer is a big sword. Each teammember created his own design of the sword to make a selection within the mod. The sword has heavy twohanded style and you'll love to swing some heads with it.
Third chracter is Steel Samurai. He uses katana and sheath with sharp blades to send vampires to where they are belong. Almost whole his body is covered by metal armor. He is also can use his sharped metal coat to cause damage to bloodsuckers. His fight style is reminding styles of ninjas and samurais but with modern elements - it's very fast, deadly and cool. He can kill multiple foes with one lightning strike.
Well and here goes shocking news for somebody. We cancel Blade TC O_o... but all of the work we have done for it you will see in Vampire Slayer 2.0. That means we are merging these two total conversions together. The story of VS2 will be tied with the story of Blade, but do not touch it. Blade will be living story of Blade movie, but in some ways, there will be a little links to the story of VS2. So the whole story will gather together from little pieces to a big picture.

Hello everyone! Today we release beta version of the mod. You can download it here.
In the mod, you can play as Dark Wizard, Slayer, Steel Samurai and 2 versions of Blade on Max Payne 2 levels or 12 completely new ones created for this mod. Unpack the archive to your game folder, launch the game and select VampireSlayer_2_0_beta in the mod selection menu. To play you need to select the character from the menu and the level. To use special moves of a character you need to select a "Special moves" weapon. To make a special move you need to press movement buttons to one of 8 directions and press shootdodge button, also there are wallmoves (you need to jump forward on the wall for it), melee moves (select melee weapon and press melee attack button) and some characters have crouch moves (press crouch) . In the archive you can also find the script (story of the mod) and an unfinished version of the prologue video. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the mod: Hitman, Andersen, all others who helped, all the actors who actually recorded their voice, i'm sorry i didn't use them.
As to why beta, and why now, and what happened? Beta because nothing has been done for more than a year. Now because i felt that we need to release everything that has been done, so i gathered everything, fixed a few bugs, added a few things like crossbow and a fire grenade and off we go:)
So what happened? Well pretty much life happened, interests change, hobbys too. The mod is dead now and it will not be finished.
I'm sorry that you had to wait for so long for this, and in the end you've got just the beta, but i really hope you'll enjoy it. Happy playing :)

it keeps reseting when im in half way fight with steel samurai and it keeps holstering the speacial weapon when i try to equip it

im new to this site but i can tell you that iam a huge game critic.this mod has all the features to satisfy a gore gamer.slo-mo is awesome.but the thing i like the most is the dark wizard character,we cant play with it in the normal story mode.that disappointed me very much.but due to the other things. i loved the mod.i could go with an 8.4 rating for this mod.
